Flux Now Speaks Your Language: One Project for Your Whole Team, Across Borders
One project, one team, five countries. Every engineer works in their own language, and so does the Flux agent.
It is 8:00 in Stuttgart. Lena, the mechanical lead of a robotics company, opens the project for a new robot-arm joint. Her Flux is in German. Overnight, her colleagues in Shenzhen and Seoul changed the motor driver board. She sees their changes on the board and in the housing that she designed, in the same project.
The same project is open in Shenzhen in Simplified Chinese, in Seoul in Korean, and in São Paulo in Brazilian Portuguese. Every engineer sees the same design. Only the language of the menus, panels and messages is different.
The language barrier in hardware teams
Hardware teams are global. The mechanical design is made in one country, the electronics in another, and the device is built in a third. Today, most design tools make every engineer work in English. The design moves between teams as files, by email. Each handover costs a day, and each misunderstanding costs a board revision.
How Flux removes it
Flux runs in the browser. No one installs software, and no one sends files. Anyone with a link opens the current design on any computer, in any country.
Flux is collaborative. The whole team works in one project at the same time: the schematic, the PCB, the enclosure and the assembly. Comments and changes show for everyone immediately. The handover between time zones is the project itself.
Flux speaks your language. The Flux interface is now available in 15 languages: English, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, German, Korean, Traditional Chinese, French, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Hindi, Polish, Turkish, Vietnamese and Indonesian. Flux selects your browser's language automatically. You can change it any time under Settings → Language.
The Flux agent is multilingual
The Flux agent understands you in your language. Ask it in Japanese for a power stage, in German for a housing, or in Portuguese for a cost check. It answers in the language that you write in. You do not translate your requirements into English first, and nothing gets lost in translation.
The agent works on the same design for everyone. Jiwoo writes to the agent in Korean, and Lena writes to it in German, and both change the same board and housing. The part numbers, net names and dimensions that the agent writes into the design stay the same for the whole team.
The Flux agent also helps team members understand each other. It knows more than all the languages: it knows the whole project, from the requirements to the schematic, the layout and the housing. Wei sends Lena a note in Chinese about two connectors. Lena gives the note to the agent and asks in German what Wei means. The agent explains it in German, with the connectors, the nets and the change that Wei asks for. A translation tool sees only the words. The Flux agent knows what the words are about.
A day on the robot-arm joint
Seoul, 9:00. Jiwoo writes to the Flux agent in Korean: a motor driver for the joint, with a 48 V brushless motor, a magnetic angle sensor and a CAN connection to the arm controller. The agent answers in Korean. A few hours later, the schematic, the parts and the PCB layout are in the project.
Stuttgart, 8:00. Lena reads the result in German. She writes to the agent in German and asks for a housing that fits the board, with a heat path from the power stage to the aluminum shell and a seal for an IP54 rating. In Flux, the housing and the updated board are ready before lunch.
Shenzhen, 15:00. Wei reviews the layout in Chinese and sends Lena a note about two connectors. The manufacturing team in Taiwan opens the same project in Traditional Chinese and checks the fabrication files.
Stuttgart, next morning. Lena gives Wei's note to the agent and asks in German what it means. The agent explains it with the context from the design, and then moves both connectors as Wei asked.
São Paulo, 10:00. Rafael, the product manager, checks the cost in Portuguese and starts the order for the prototypes.
Without Flux, a revision of this kind takes several weeks of files, emails and meetings across time zones. In Flux, the team does it in one day.
The design stays the same in every language
Flux translates the interface, not your design. Part numbers, net names, pin names and units stay exactly as the
engineer wrote them. A net called VBUS_48V is VBUS_48V in Stuttgart and in Shenzhen. In
each language, a technical term such as "net" or "footprint" has one fixed translation on every screen, so the menus
never use two words for the same thing.
